Saturday Music Memories – Keith Urban Show Tonight!
Well the day has come! After waiting 7 long months, Keith Urban is in Edmonton tonight.
This will be the 3rd time we have seen him live, and he never disappoints.
He is on a short list of acts today that is well worth every penny.
Here is the video for his smash hit “Long Hot Summer“. Very appropriate to help get through a long cold winter in Western Canada!
Anybody else hear a “Message In A Bottle” vibe by the Police in the melody?
We are really rockin’ now over at my Facebook page. Come see what the fuss is about and “like” us!

Have a great weekend.
Saturday Music Memories – That Song In Your Head!
I have had a song stuck in my head for the past two months and played it well over 100 times (according to my iPod).
Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert do an incredible job on “We Were Us”.
Can’t wait to see Keith play live for the third time in Edmonton this January!
Have a great Saturday. Just digging out of a snow blizzard here!
Saturday Music Memories – “What A Nice Day”
I just got Keith Urban tickets yesterday for a January 2014 show in Edmonton! I thought it would be appropriate to share this blog post again!
Keith Urban is one of my favourite artists. I have had the extreme pleasure of seeing him play live twice. I think Alicia Keys is one of the greatest talents in the music industry today. The collaborated at Live Earth in July 2007 for a fantastic rendition of “Gimme Shelter” by the Rolling Stones.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Saturday Music Memories – Road Trips Home
Welcome back to Saturday Music Memories!
I warned you during the first post that my musical taste is all over the map! What better way to show you then to go from an 80’s Classic Rock band to a current country star in the second edition!
I don’t follow country music much, but I do keep tabs on everything Keith Urban does. He truly cares about his profession and fans, and leaves it all out on the stage every night he performs. I have had the pleasure of seeing him play live twice. Each time, it was for over 2 1/2 hours. I did a post recently discussing passion vs raw talent. In case you missed it, here is the link:
raw-talent-vs-passion-and-the-winner-is
Keith is one of those rare performers who has the raw talent and the passion for his “job”. He is certainly living the dream.
I live 14 hours by car from my home town, and my family has done that drive with me 10 times in the last 11 years. Since this song came out, we play it multiple times on each trip! Every time I hear it, I think of all the fun we have had (and will have again in the future) on the highways of the beautiful Western Canadian Prairies.
