Saturday Music Memories – Keith Urban Show Tonight!
Well the day has come! After waiting 7 long months, Keith Urban is in Edmonton tonight.
This will be the 3rd time we have seen him live, and he never disappoints.
He is on a short list of acts today that is well worth every penny.
Here is the video for his smash hit “Long Hot Summer“. Very appropriate to help get through a long cold winter in Western Canada!
Anybody else hear a “Message In A Bottle” vibe by the Police in the melody?

Alberta – My Photography Journey!
Lesley Carter from Bucket List Publications http://www.bucketlistpublications.com is travelling to Alberta later this week. She recently put out a call for people to blog about their travels to this incredible province. I will do one better!
I have lived here for 13 years and had a blast last night digging up some of my favourite photos of travels with my wife and sons.
I can still remember the day that I saw the mountains for the first time as a kid. I was truly in awe of all that the Rockies had to offer.
Now as an adult, we are so lucky to have this beauty right in our own backyard (well almost, it is still a bit of a drive).
I hope you enjoy looking at our pictures as much as I did putting them together!

Saturday Music Memories – Jon + Kid Equals Live Magic!
It was a warm summer night in 2010, and I had the pleasure of being at this show with my wife and a few good friends. Jon Bon Jovi could barely walk due to a leg injury, but it did not stop him from rockin’ for over 2 1/2 hours!
A special guest arrives on stage in the middle of this clip to sing a classic track with him!
There are very few things that I enjoy more than watching a good show outside on a warm summer night!

In classic Western Canadian fashion, Edmonton seems to have skipped spring and gone straight to summer! I am TOTALLY ok with that!

Saturday Music Memories – If Everyone Cared
There does not seem to be any grey area with respect to Nickelback. Either you love them, or you well… don’t love them. They grew up within 3 hours of where I live in Edmonton and are very popular around here. Their live shows are incredible. I am a simple guy from the Prairies in Canada – If the music rocks and a few fireworks are set off, that is a good night out for me.
Sometimes it appears like Chad Kroeger is just trying to pump out hit singles. But if you can, why the heck wouldn’t you?
If you got all the haters under oath, I suspect that they would trade places with him at a moment’s notice, if they could live their dreams and be on stage for even one night!
They are Canadian, we love them, and this song has a great social message. Many people don’t know that they can “slow things down” from time to time, and this is one of my favourite songs.
