My Video – We All “Default” To The Couch

I have wanted to do some new videos over the past couple of months, but just have not made the time. I will finally be “taking action” over the next few weeks and develop some new ones. I can’t wait!

In the interim, I wanted to share a couple of my favourite videos today and tomorrow. I hope you enjoy them!

Couches are a comfortable place to hang out. Most of us spend too much time relaxing on them. Check out my latest video to see why less couch time leads to a more fulfilling life!

  2. yay, tim!! 🙂 …..okay, it’s time for me to sleep (i work evenings). 😉 peace,…~go

  3. Tim – excellent video and a great message. I too am constantly having to regulate the couch time…and it’s REALLY hard during football season. 😉

    • Yes… during hockey season, I seem to have to rip the “velcro” off my butt that is attached to the couch as well! Thanks as always for your comments Dennis..

  4. You know Tim I dabbled with Amway back in the day and although I regret virtually every minute and cent that I put into that venture there was one snippet that I remember.

It was around a woman who wanted her husband to help around the house rather than go out prospecting. The steer that we got from the presenter was that the guy’s attitude should have been “When I’ve done enough work and earned enough money then I’ll help around the house. I could pay someone to do it and still be better off doing what I’m supposed to be doing.” That really drove home to me the value of time.

To put it into the context of your video, you wouldn’t pay $200 for a ticket to the game every night (especially hockey right?) but what does it actually cost you to watch it on TV?

Someone else said it quite well. The most expensive thing in your house is your TV.

I admire people who don’t have TV’s. Like Joey once said in Friends “You don’t have a TV? What does all your furniture point at?”

    • Wow thanks Rupert for the awesome response. I love the stories. Lots of lessons to be learned for everyone. The value of time is so critical to understand isn’t it? The TV is certainly the most expensive thing in the house. Great Joey quote! How true though… Thanks again.

  5. Wow, you nailed it Timmy! I am gonna go bring my couch and TV to the dump TODAY! Kidding aside, it is hard to resist the alure of the couch and remote. Thanks for revisiting this video and reminding us that moving closer to our goals each day is the only way to truly succeed.

    I look forward to more!

    • Hey buddy! Thanks for stopping by. Yeah it is tough for most of us to get off the couch, but once you do it is a great feeling. But just like dieting or anything else, it is all about moderation. So certainly treat yourself to time on the couch every so often…
